Last week Dr Terry Ryan came to visit Burnside and spend time with some of our junior Maori
student and talk about their Whakapapa with them. He also spent time with some of 9Skn and talked to us about the school cabbage trees which are a significant group of trees in this area. They are called
Te Herenga Ora and below is a link to some of the history associated with them.
